the feature is nonsense when we don't see the per-user data. Please enable the feature back for hardware controllers. We bought the hardware and expect it to work.

The feature does work.  The controllers do work

 

This one part of it was removed so they dont make the hardware controllers (that have limited capabilities) slow to a crawl, at which point you would be complaining about that.

Im not going to give you any different answers than those you have already been given, and opening up more threads or replying to more threads with the same question (i think its 4 now) also wont give you any different answers.
