my provider uses a complicated routing scheme, that is, all computers are in the private address space (192.168....) and the vpn connection is used for uplink to the internet. on my computer, there is a static routing table, which allows me to stay in lan while i'm also connected to the internet. that is, i had to add the "static route". i purchased an android-based tab and the 727n adapter, and i use it in the soft-ap mode to let the tab access the internet. but the tab is automatically assigned the address 192.168.137.1 and i see no way to change it to any other. i think that i could have access if the router and the tab had addresses in some other range, for example 10.*** but i cant assign ip addresses by hand in the utility. how do i make it, can i edit the registry or run a specific command ?
