ISP : Telecom New Zealand

Hi there,

I am from New Zealand and have a TP-Link TD-W8960n wireless modem/router and my ISP is through Telecom. When I connect the TD-W8960n to my PC the ADSL light does not stay on, it blinks for a little while then turns off. I cant access the internet and have limited access when connected via a wireless laptop. There is nothing wrong with my line as I can connect my old (D-Link) modem which Im using now and have no problems. I rang my ISP and they said my line only goes down when I connect the TD-W8960n but not the D-Link. Then I tried connecting the TD-W8960n to the D-Link via ethernet and it started working. The problem was I wanted the TD-W8960n to work as a stand alone and not hooked up to the D-Link so I fiddled around with some settings until I did a hard reset and now the TD-W8960n wont work with the D-Link. Can anybody help me with this. I want to use the TD-W8960n on its own and these are the settings I got from my ISP:

VPI: 0
VCI: 100
Multiplexing: VCMUX
MTU: 1500
Encapsulation: RFC 2364 (or 'PPPoverATM', also known as 'PPPoA')
Operating Mode (ADSL2+): AUTO or G.992.5 Annex A
Operating Mode (ADSL2): AUTO or G.992.3 Annex A
Operating Mode (ADSL1): AUTO or G.992.1 (G.DMT) or ANSI T1.413 Issue 2
DO NOT use G.992.2 (G.Lite)
