using TL-ANT2424B as router's main antenna

hello guys, i have TP-Link TL-WR841N router which is quite good for my need but not enough so i have an idea to expand the wifi range so far i have tried it on TP-LINK TL-WN751ND wireless adapter and it worked , the question is if i plug off one antenna from the router and plug the TP-LINK TL-ANT2424B cable instead of the regular antenna will it work? as i said i tried it on TP-LINK TL-WN751ND and it worked perfectly, thanx.
