Hi,

I've tried to update my WR741ND to a newer Version. I've tried 3.16.5 and 3.16.6. I've bin through every step, as explained in various places (user Manual, tp-link.com). After I've accepted the final question "Are you shure you want to upgrade the Firmware?" with OK, absolutely nothing happens. The page (192.168.0.1) freezes for a view mintues and thats all. No reboot, status leds keep doing the same things, network connections remain, firmware version does not change, no message appears.

Any suggestions?

First, reset the router to factory settings and next Firmware Upgrade

Thanx, this did the trick. Happily, this also resolved an issue* with Intel wireless AC 7260.

(* Just for the ones being interested: When using AC 7260 with driver version 17.x.x on WR741ND with firmware version 3.12.11, the mac filter crashed and all clients lost connectivity. Workaround for this issue was not to use the mac filter. With firmware version 3.16.6, mac filter works fine. This is my experience. Other ppl may have other experiences.)
