M5 shows red and will not reset. App still shows M5 as present but not plugged in!

My Deco M5 shows red. I have tried to do a manual reset by pressing button on base, but still powers up RED. What is worrying is that the App still shows the M5 as present even though it is not plugged in or powered! The app is totally unresponsive, I have deleted it and reinstalled but still the same. There is no access to the other two Decos, both P9, and it isn't showing throughput or a list of connected clients. The app has the green dot saying Everything looks good. Well it isn't, what is going on on?

Hi, thanks for posting question here.
When did you purchase M5 and did it stop working suddenly?
You may refer to the suggestions below:
1. Keep the Deco M5 unplugged for some time, replug it using another socket, when the power is table, reset it for a try.
2. About the app, please uninstall Deco app, reboot your phone, then reinstall Deco app to confirm again. Please change another phone to double-check if it is the same result showing on the Deco app.
3. If the tips above do not help, please share the screenshots of the problem you described on Deco app and the LED Status of Deco M5.
Best regards.

Hi Marvin, thanks for getting back to me.
An update, I deleted the app on my phone (iPhone 12 iOS18.4) and reinstalled it. No change! The M5 was still showing and the data throughput was '0'. The app looked frozen. So next I unplugged the 'master' Deco a P9 and after a minute powered it up again. I rebooted the app on the phone and it now started to respond correctly. From this I deduce that the P9 was upsetting the app! The P9 was seemingly working correctly as my Alexas were all working correctly. My Solar and heat Pump were all connected via Home Assistant and showing correct information. But somehow it was screwing the app!
As for the M5 I tried leaving it unplugged over night and powering it up this morning, sadly no change, power up and shows yellow then to brief green flashing, then flashing red and then solid red. This is after pressing the reset button for over 20 seconds. This M5 is the same age as the P9 I have, about 4 years old. Incidentally I have another P9 in my garage/workshop fed by Ethernet, and this P9, after sorting the the app issue by re-powering the 'master' P9, was flashing blue, i.e. it needed to be re-configured! I did not press the reset button or initiate anything on the app! Having done that it is now working OK and showing correctly on the app. Any ideas why this should be?

Hi, thanks for your update.
If you remove Deco M5 and everything works well, it should be the Deco M5 went wrong. You may consider another brand-new.
Best regards.
