WA730RE not working with BT ISP

Recently I changed my ISP to BT and my range extender is not working. I tried configuring manual as well as through cd after resetting the range extender but not working. As soon as configured range extender is started the internet is not accessed. It was working fine with my previous ISP sky. The difference I noted for ip
Sky router had ip 192.168.1.1 but BT router has ip 192.168.1.254 same as my tp link range extender. I also tried configuring US and UK region while configuring range extender. Is it something a case of ip conflict or am I missing something here ?
