TD-W8970 WDS Bridging no Security Protocol
Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : TL-WR842ND
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Firmware Version:0.6.0 2.11 v000c.0 Build 140508 Rel.56501n
Hardware Version:TD-W8970 v1 00000000
I set up a connection to my master router Huawei HG532 through WDS with the TP-Link routers own interface, it works so far. Only problem is, the given 2nd SSID comes without any password protection. That means suddenly my network is open for everyone.
I set the master to WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK and put a password, in the slave interface i put WPA-PSK (it's the only useful option) and also the corect PW.
WAN connection type is "Bridge"
Wireless Status:
Wireless
Status:Enabled
SSID:TP-LINK_5AA212
Channel:Channel2
Channel Width:Auto
Mode:11bgn mixed
Encryption:None
MAC Address:C0:4A:00:5A:A2:12
Max Tx Rate:300Mbps
WDS Status:Enabled
Any thought on why this didn't work?
Thanks
