setting up wr841n in bridge mode

I want to link my tl-wr841n in bridge mode (wirelesslessly) to a sagemcom f@st 3864 gateway wifi router / modem.
When I set the link up initially it tests fine. When I rebooted the sagemcom the bridge was lost. Do I need to set up the link manually every time the gateway router is rebooted?
Or should the tl-wr841n be able to re-establish the bridge link after this?
