Hello Team,

I have a samsung TV that can't play ANY videos using the media server feature (using a 512GB HDD), all I get is "format not supported"; the videos play with out issues if I connect the HDD directly to the TV.

Also I noticed that the file format is not listed when using media server.

Example:
If HDD is conected directly to the TV the file is displayed as video.mkv

BUT

If I'm using media server the file is listed as video

As you can tell the format is missing.

I hope this helps for future releases.

Media server in TP-Link doesn't have DLNA certification.

that sucks, 5GHz band is meant for media, gaming, etc...

Only hope is ddwrt or openwrt ? but I think the 5GHZ band will stop working...

You can try with Gargoyle and DLNA server. I don't give you guarantee for 100%. We have too many protocols and too many TV brands.
