Support required for configuration of UNIVERSAL REPEATER MODE

Hi,
I have configured my WA901 ND as universal repeater as per quick manual provided with device. My main wireless modem-router is TP Link-W8951.
After configuration of 901ND it is relaying the wireless signal but it is not forwarding the main wireless signal of my router W8951.
Only difference i feel in my configuration of 901ND from the tutorials at youtube is. i have defined Network > LAN > smart IP (DHPC).
If i try static IP & then after Gateway: 192.168.1.1( same as my modem -router).this give error 2001.
Plz help.
