Hi,

I have a TV that has an ethernet port that I'm trying to connect to my network so it can stream movies from my server (rather than physically moving the whole box!). I've been trying to set-up my WA801ND in client mode from my laptop so it can connect to my BoB Belkin router. I've followed both the instructions from the manual and from: http://www.tp-link.com/en/article/?id=493. To no avail.

When I run through the process it finds the network SSID and in config appears to have established a connection. But when I reset my laptop to an automatic IPv4 there is no throughput from the network and within the router config there is no indication that it has made a connection to the WA801ND.

I've upgraded the firmware to the latest on the WA801ND.

I also understand that there is a lot of incompatibility between hardware providers. Could that be the case here? I'd rather not have to purchase another access point of the Belkin variety just to make this work. =)

Cheers.
