Different password for local network and root AP
Region : Netherlands
Model : TL-WA854RE
Hardware Version : V1.0
Firmware Version : 3.14.8
ISP :
Dear TechSupport forum,
I have bought and successfully installed a TL-WA854RE. It connects to a root AP with a very long password. I have recently purchased an EZCAST HDMI dongle but I seem to have problems when it tries to connect to the local (extended) network as the password (replicated from the root AP) is too long. I have tried to set the password for the local wireless network to a different one than the root AP but that doesn't work (meaning that I then lose the connection to the root AP). I cannot change the root AP password to a shorter one so I am stuck. Is it not possible to have a different password for the local wireless network and how do I do that?
Many thanks!
