Hello everyone,
I just brought a new TP link N750 WDR 4300 router and it has turned my office into a complete mess. I can plug back my routed and have instantly everything work properly, So its not a client or cabling issue.
I have half a dozen laptops at my office. They are NOT connected to the internet. My purpose is for local file sharing. One of the laptop has some Folders shared via WIndows 7 file sharing on the LAN port. The firewalls on all machines are disabled for troubleshooting but does not help.
Case 1)
As the laptop is sharing Files on LAN port, Other laptops connected to Routers LAN ports can see the files, However for the clients connected to Same Routers WIFI (they're not connected anywhere else) they CAN NOT see the files at all. I can put in my D link router and Both the LAN and WIFI clients can see the shared files.
Case 2)
am trying to setup IP webcam on my WDR 4300 Router. My Phone runs
androind 4.2.
The camera says its ready at 192.168.1.100:8080
However when i open the same address in my Computer, the WEBPAGE NOT
AVAILABLE is shown up.
Both the camera and Computer are connected to WDR 4300 via WIFI and
firewall is disabled.
I tried using a D link router and the camera stared working right away!
client isolation is off already. However when I connect the laptop via lan port, camera starts working. It just doesn't work Wi-Fi to Wi-Fi. I mean camera to Wi-Fi to router to Wi-Fi to Laptop, that does not work.
However camera to Wi-Fi to router to lan to Laptop works.
Help please.
Clearly something is "Missing" that handles the data transfer between wired and wireless layers. My Old router had a setting called "Bridge wireless and Ethernet connections" That allowed dynamic sharing between wired and wireless clients. That setting is missing on TP link!
