Model : TL-WDR3600

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : last. 09.09.13

ISP : Ono

Hi to all!

I am using a TL-WDR3600 in conjunction with a thomson tcw710 from my internet cable provider (ONO - Spain) connected by supplied utp cable by TP-Link product.
Physically, I connected WAN port from TP-link to the only ethernet connector in the ISP device.
I configure the thomson ISP device in "Cable Modem" mode after disabling Firewalls, Wifi, filters and dhcp server for lan. Then i connect it to the tp-link router and configure it.

The problem i experienced is that TP-link router is acquiring and releasing ip from internet repeatedly and forever. By this way is impossible to have a Internet connection.
Then i copy here this behaviour of the router as you can see in the log.

But if i connect several PC at each time and i do a "ipconfig /release and /renew" i get a ip from isp with no problems and internet is accessible.

I also try switching on and off "ipv6", "dhcp server" on tp-link device, "unicast dhcp" in wan settings, clonning mac from pc's, crossover and simple utp cable and the result is the same: acquire and release de ip in two seconds period time. :p

Anybody knows what can be happen? Its really weird.

Thanks in advance.

Hi!

Any other idea? I tried the instructions of that FAQ and the result is the same. DHCP acquire and releases to the infinity and beyond.

Thanks in advance.
Regards.

OK. I have been doing several test with the WAN port and it doesnt link.

1. ISP device as cable modem, dynamic and doesnt link stable
2. ISP device as gateway vía DHCP to WAN of TP-link, doesnt link
3. ISP device as gateway via Static to WAN of TP-link, doesnt link, same result as above.
4. My Computer as DHCP to WAN of TP-link, doesnt link, even the ethernet interface of PC didnt lights on.

I think the router WAN port doesnt work. :(

Hi to all!

The show where i bought the tp-link device has changed me the router for another one and the problem is fixed.
Certainly the WAN port of the original tp-link device didnt work.

Thanks for all.
