Adapter drops connection

The adapter keeps dropping the connection. The only way to reconnect is to unplug it from the USB and plug it back in. I've already checked the power settings and made sure it should not be turned off. I have no issues with any other devices hooked up to the wireless network, although all are without adapters. This is really annoying since the adapter is hooked up to the PC that I would like to use for streaming music.
Anyone experiencing similar issues and have a resolution?
