Hi Network Gurus!

I have a TL-WA890EA and a AC750 RE200 Range Extender on my network - The RE200 is connected to my WDR4300 and I wanted the WA890EA to connect to the RE200 as it is closer but when I add a new profile for the RE200 SSID in to the 890EA it pings with Destination host unreachable. I have to WPS to get it back and it connects back to my 4300.

Is there a way to get this set-up to work in harmony?

WA890 dual band <-----------> RE200 dual band <---------------------------------------------------> WDR4300 dual band

To pick up Wi-Fi signal from another extender is not a good idea...Connection may be quite slow and unstable.
Did you try to set up TL-WA890EA from quick setup on its web browser?

I have tried both wizard and browser based configuration...

Isn't the WA890EA acting as just a Wifi device although it might have multiple wired devices attached, isn't this the same as any other wifi device connecting to the remote AP?

Range extender and AP definitely work in different ways. RE is in full duplex while AP is in full duplex.
It is not comlicated to set it up via browser. You may reset it and try again. Remember to change a different IP for 890EA from RE200. Wi-Fi settings should be the same. Reboot them to see.
