Actual range and link speed of TL-WR841N router

Hardware Version : V9
Firmware Version : 3.16.9 Build 141013 Rel.61626n
ISP : Wishnet Broadband (local cable net)
I bought this router but getting some issues..
First of all what is the actual range of this router? I saw some good reviews about this router but getting very poor coverage..
Secondly the speed of this router is 300 mbit/s but whenever I am connecting any device through wifi, getting link speed only 72-135mbit/s. So is it dependent on wifi devices or the router is faulty?
Thirdly, everywhere I saw this router with 9 led indicator, but mine comes with 8 indicator.. so did I get a fake one?
Please clarify my questions asap and thanks in advance...
