Hi,
I have bought this router and am trying to set it up in client mode to connect to my BT wireless router.

The BT router has IP address of 192.168.1.254

I connect my laptop via an Ethernet cable to the lan port on the TL-WR710N router and use the router admin utility to set up client mode.
When I reboot the TL-WR710N router, I cannot access the internet.
Using ipconfig on my laptop I can see my
IP address is 192.168.0.102
Gateway address 192.168.0.254

But if I bypass the TL-WR710N router then the
IP address 192.168.1.76
Gateway address 192.168.1.254

How do I fix this?

Many thanks in advance

Sounds like DHCP is still enabled on WR710N.
Upgrade the latest firmware first.
Later reset and reconfigure it. Change Smart IP to Static IP(on Network---LAN page) and change the IP address to 192.168.1.253. Ensure DHCP is Disabled in last step..
