Setup consists of 2x indoor X50 units and 1x X50-Outdoor.

All are PoE and connected via PoE switch.

The X50-Outdoor is mounted out to very open back garden and we have great WiFi coverage for phones and occasional laptop in the garden. Another reason for setting up the X50-Outdoor unit was that I recently bought a Segway robot lawnmower that needs WiFi for updates. 

I have noticed that every time I look in the Deco app the lawnmower is connected to one of the indoor Decos instead of the outdoor Deco. Signal is shown as 1 or 2 bars instead of full 3 bar when I force connect it to the outdoor Deco. 

I do not understand why it doesn't stay connected to the outdoor Deco? In app I have chosen outdoor Deco "Have" as preferred.

Text in app even states "This cliens only connects to "Have"-Deco? I have even turned Mesh off to try to force it to stay with Outdoor Deco.

Note: 

*The Segway mower is only compatible with 2,4 GHz.

*Network is setup with the primary being 5 GHz and then a IoT 2,4 GHz network. It doesn't matter if I choose 2,4 GHz for Segway or Auto-mode. It still wants to connect to one of the indoor units? 

*Yes there is a large tree partially between Segway and X50-Outdoor but there is several walls (and/or windows) between Segway and the indoor units.

Segway is currently mowing the garden while "writing" 46... Wife's birthday tomorrow ;)
