RE200 Channel bandwidth

Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : RE200
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 3.14.2 Build 141020 Rel.51050n
ISP : Virgin Media
When using inSSIDer on my laptop I note that, although I am only transmitting on Channel 1 from my router, the RE200 is re-broadcasting on 1+5.
I do not want that, especially as it now interferes with my neighbour on channel 6.
In set-up, the "Channel Bandwidth" is set to AUTO, but the drop-down arrow next to it is greyed out.
Does anyone have a clue how to have it re-transmit ONLY on channel 1? I have it set to re-transmit the original SSID.

Sadly, the engineer is telling me there's nothing wrong! The guy that I was dealing with sent me a screen-grab of his RE200 forwarding a single channel (3) the same as the router input signal channel(3). Mine is NOT doing that... so I don't know where to go from here!
Take care with the answers of TP-Link support engineers.
I see 3 cases:
1. This is not a bug and the engineer has to prove it.
2. The engineer is not able (or don't want) to reproduce the problem and consequently can't ask a fix to R&D.
3. This bug is known from TP-Link and they refuse to consider and fix it (willing or not to tell it).
What is the name of this engineer?

I have come up with a temporary solution. Because it's the 5gHz signal around the house that's not so good, I have set the RE200 in Hi-Speed mode so it receives signals on both 2.4gHz & 5gHz but ONLY transmits on 5gHz.
Interestingly, in this mode, the output channel is adjustable! I have set it to the same SSID and channel as the original 5gHz so they "augment" each other. So now I have a strong uniform 5gHz signal around the house.
It'll do for now :-)
Since the last e-mail from the engineer, I have sent 2 more replies in the last week and, so far, I've not heard back! It seems they have given up on me!
TP-LINK is not a manufacturer I will buying from in the future!!!!!!

I need to update the above!
Yesterday, I had an e-mail from TP-LINK apologiing to me for getting it wrong! They have now said I was right and that the bandwidth can NOT be adjusted. It automatically detects the intereference in the local area:
Litte interference and it operates in 40mHz bandwidth. However, LOTS of interference and it operates in 20mHz mode! Very cool, but not a lot of use to me!
Anyway, the engineer has said it will be down to a firmware update but it probably won't happen soon!
I won't jold my breath then :-)

Very interesting news...
I don't think it's a good programming but I understand now.
It should be probably better to use the same bandwidth...

Well, it's been 6 months or so since the above! And guess what? Yes, you're right, absolutely nothing has happened.
I am still using my RE200 in 5gHz-only mode.
But, it IS time to dump it and look for something else; I just don't know what!
Good luck to all those of you who still have, or are getting, TP-LINK gear. If you've not bought yet, DON'T. And if you have just bought it, return it to the store and demand a refund!

I know that Android is limited to the main channel (stupid OS), but I don't understand why you're speaking about Android if you're using a Windows laptop !?

For your issue, I suggest you to test again with Acrylic Wifi which is much better than inSSIDer.

The problem is with the RE210/RE200 and not with the measuring software!
