Will the TL-WR702N client mode work for my dvd player?

I recently bought an LG bh4030s DVD player, which has smart tv capabilities, but I need an internet connection and it only connects through a LAN socket. I was wondering if I could use the client mode on the TL-WR702N with it plugged in to the DVD player by a LAN cable to connect it to my WiFi? Thank you
