Model: EAP115
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 5.0.9 Build 20240228 Rel. 53359

hello everyone, despite having tried to select channels 1 6 12 on my AP they are fine but after a while the channel is with interference. What should I do? Advice whether to enter the choice of channel automatically or some other parameter on omada server?

hi Vincent , thank you , but I changing this parameter the performances are very good for same minutes , after time the channel I'm using , is very degraded

Hi  @frankz66

Here are some suggestions:

1. Adjust Channel Width (2.4GHz Band): If manually selecting channels, set Channel Width to 20MHz (not 40MHz) to reduce interference.

2. Check for Nearby Networks: Use a Wi-Fi analyzer tool (like WiFi Analyzer on Android or inSSIDer on PC) to see if neighboring APs are causing congestion. If all channels (1, 6,        11) are crowded, consider lowering transmit power to reduce overlap.

3. Ensure your EAP115 firmware and Omada Controller are up to date.

4. Reduce Transmit Power (If Needed): If multiple APs are nearby, lowering Tx Power (e.g., to Medium or Low) can help minimize co-channel interference.

Hi, I wanted to know if there is a model to make the scanning of 2.4 GHz channels faster in order to quickly change the move to a freer band

@Vincent-TP HI, I wanted to inform you of a change I made to the eap115, that is, replacing it with an eap225. I disconnected it, and connected an eap225 in its place, which, as soon as it was turned on, did not want to work. I checked the cable on the eap225, which was ok, but the eap225 turned on, flashed and the LED remained fixed green, but without giving me internet access. I checked the cable again with the cable tester and the pins were correct. I had to move the new ep to another socket, and with surprise I noticed that it started working again, with the variation that there is no longer any interference as eap115 gave me on the same channels. Now the connection has been stable for 2 days, without interruptions. Eap115, on the other hand, was replaced in another location, works without showing interference. Two days have passed and everything seems to be fine with eap225. I don't understand what's happening even though the cable has been checked and to be sure I also connected a notebook to this cable which seems to work at 1gb. Is it possible that eap115 is broken?

Hi  @frankz66

Sorry, I didn't get the current issue of EAP115.

Do you mean the EAP115 have no internet access when connecting to a known working cable?

@Vincent-TP no, I wanted to say that instead of EAP1115 I connected an EAP225, which does not have interference like EAP115 and works without problem. But I had to connect it to another rj45 socket because with that it works badly or the green light comes on and after orange in short it seems that the cable is not good even if this cable is tested well.

Hi  @frankz66

EAP115 is 2.4G only.

Did you compare the 2.4GHz interference between the two EAPs? Are they different?

What are the exact interference levels for each of them?

  @Vincent-TP i replace eap115 with rap 225 . This eap 225 do not have interference at 2,4 , eap 115 yes !

Hi  @frankz66

How do you determine whether there is interference?

Did you check the interface of the EAP's page?
