1. Appearance and Hardware Features

 

The ER706WP-4G V1 has a sleek and compact design like its siblings, measuring 8.9 × 5.2 × 1.4 inches (226 × 131 × 35 mm) excluding the antennas.

 

It features 3 * dual-band Wi-Fi antennas and 2 * 4G 4.0 dBi omnidirectional antennas for optimal signal strength.

The router is equipped with 1 * Gigabit SFP WAN/LAN port, 1 * Gigabit WAN port, and 4 * Gigabit LAN/WAN ports to ensure fast and reliable connectivity options.

 

Additionally, it includes a convenient Nano SIM card slot for easy insertion and removal of your SIM card.

The ER706WP-4G V1 offers several impressive features compared to traditional Omada wired routers.

 

(1) Dual 4G LTE Network

 

The ER706WP-4G V1 supports the 3/4G LTE network, eliminating the need for a separate 4G LTE modem. This allows for a more flexible network connection.

(2) EAP Mesh.

 

With EAP Mesh support, the ER706WP-4G V1 enables easy formation of your network while reducing costs. You can now create an EAP mesh with this standalone ER706WP-4G. 

(Note: The Guest Network option and SSID VLAN option will disappear from the Web UI or Omada APP once the mesh network is in standalone mode.)

 

 

 

(3) 802.3af/at PoE

 

ER706WP-4G V1 provides a 45W max PoE budget with the standard PoE and PoE+. Allowing you to have a more flexible setup in your small and medium-sized business. 

 

 

(4) Omada App

 

ER706WP-4G V1 supports Omada app. You can view the settings or monitor the network traffic from a remote location. Always stay connected and updated.

The coverage and performance of wireless products are influenced by the environment. In the different user environments with different housing structures, more or less wireless interference and different receiving performance of the client, so, even with the same product, the performance also varies.  A general range is about 15 meters.

 

Q2:  What is the maximum number of connected clients and the number of recommended clients?

 

Recommend Number of total wireless and wired clients: 300.

Yes, the Antenna Ports on ER706WP-4G are SMA females.

This is a 45W PoE+ capable router. It offers a max of 30W per port according to the 802.3at. 

And it is backward compatible in the 803.2af(max of 15W). 

Recommend you do not blow the PoE budget, which may cause an unstable power supply to your PD.
