Model : Hardware Version : Not ClearFirmware Version : ISP : Hello,I'm trying to make ftp work on my wr1043 router. I've enabled ftp in the setup and logged in with filezilla as admin with read and write rights. Reading works: I can see my usb folders. However, if I try to create a new folder, I get a 550 error, suggesting I don't have writing rights. What is going wrong here? Thanks, Dirk

PS: The same holds for the samba server (in the router menu: USB Settings>Storage Sharing). I can read from it but not write on it.

Can you modify any document in USB folders and save successfully?
What's the hardware version and firmware version of your WR1043ND?

Thanks for your response, Mavis. When I try to open a word file from the usb I get the message that the file is locked by an unknown user. I can open it as read only or copy it to my pc in order to alter it. That's no good. My hardware version is v2. My firmware version is 3.17.38 build 140613.
