X50 high CPU usage leading to network drops
X50 high CPU usage leading to network drops

Hi
I have been experiencing WiFi and network drops recently. The x50 is my main deco with a number of satellites.
WiFi stays connected but with no signal and then the wires network drops.
CPU usage is pretty much constantly 100%, with memory usage being 79%.
I have disabled beam forming and any other optional features.
I have the feeling that the deco is overheating as the problem only started once we have had a very warm spell of weather.

@63Vino your network has so many similarities to mine! I have cameras, indoor and outdoor decos, smart devices, ring doorbell etc
When I disconnected the LAN cables it all went back to normal. My impression was that there was some conflict between the LAN and mesh connections.
I was thinking along the same lines as you, that I would have to upgrade the main deco (at least). However since removing the LAN connections all is perfect.

@rmpt Hi, Thanks... I do not have anything connected via LAN... I can only guess that the router having to service both the LAN and the wireless is simply an additional CPU load that it cannot manage..I'm guessing, if you connected everything by cable and shut off the wifi it would even perform better hahahaha. But that's not practical.
One would think that for what you paid, you should be able to use both wired and wireless connections... no? ;D
In both our cases, eliminating contributing cpu loading conditions, has a positive effect. I just posted about a little test I did with a "static" stable network, not streaming or other activity and you'll be surprised how much that cpu load jumps up and down wth theoretically nothing happening.
I am convinced it's not a particular "issue", simply many contributing factors to an insufficient cpu "for the configuration we have".
thanks again for the reply and suggestion.
