Hi everyone!
I hope you can help me, as always.

Some questions concern:
1- What is the difference between using VLAN and VLAN Interface?
2- I use the option as the default interface. But, what would using the VLAN option actually mean? I noticed that the options are quite limited here.
3- When the "Application" option is selected, you can choose between two options: "Gateways and switches" and "Switches only." What is the difference between these access points?
4- Regarding Disable NAT, I've never used this procedure. But, from my analysis of the documentation, I realized that NAT resolutions only apply to internal devices, maintaining their original IP addresses. Could you give me an example of whether I really need it and if there is any benefit to this application? Would there also be any additional requirements for environments with two load-balanced links? The documentation is unclear on this last point.

  @Artur.Aragao

1. See the existing guide:

Common Questions About 802.1Q VLAN

2. What devices are applied to this 802.1Q VLAN created.

3. See 2.

4. Most don't need to use the disable NAT.

NAT is the most basic feature on every router. Unless your admin or the ISP instructs you to disable it, you disable it. For most networks, it is not even necessary.

Whether you benefit from having a NAT or not, you can Google NAT and understand this term. It is not bipolar to say it is good for disabling it or enabling it.

We don't have a typical scenario for this. Our router is intended to work as a NAT device and this is based on our design and product orientation. In extreme cases(yet we don't have collected any), this might be useful for specific users.

  @Clive_A

Thank you very much for your help, my friend.

God bless you.

I use it per interface, and from what I understand, it's the best option in my case because of the routing between VLANs.

The documentation is spectacular. Thank you for that.

Have a great afternoon from Brazil.
