Model: ER707-M2
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

The router gets the following error "OpenVPN option error: Unrecognized option or missing or extra parameter(s) in [PUSH-OPTIONS]:7: block-outside-dns (2.4.3)" it needs to be fixed as it defeats the VPN purpose. it seems that this specific "block-outside-dns" option is not fully implemented or recognized in its current OpenVPN client configuration.

It is specifically designed for clients to prevent DNS leaks by blocking access to DNS servers outside the VPN tunnel.

  @bellocaro

Are you using the router as the OVPN Client?

If your VPN server contains unsupported entries, it will not work on the router. At least, this is what it looks like as you describe.

So, remove the unsupported entry in the OVPN file which might still not work. Or remove this from the server end.

If this is a new feature in the OVPN server, you need to wait for the future firmware that updates the OVPN in the controller to adapt to a new feature like that.
