Hello,
I bought this extender and I asked the sales person if I could connect an ethernet cable directly from a switch to it and then use the Wi-Fi for me devices. He said yes. So how do I do that? How do I set it up to use an Ethernet connection instead of boosting another wi-fi signal?

I recently bought a TL-WA850RE with the intention of connection it directly to a switch using a Ethernet cable, then using the Wi-FI to connect my devices. I am having trouble setting it up to do this action.

Firmware: 1.0.0 Build 20150729 Rel. 63793

Hardware Version:mTL-WA850RE v.2.0

Can anybody help me please?

Range Extenders are used to extend the coverage of your wireless network! Maybe you should use Acess Points to transform your existing wired network to a wireless network.
