V1 also seems absolutely unsupported by TP-Link, with no references to any Beta Firmwares or Firmware updates.

Unfortunately it is absurd that the V1 has not been updated for a long time, furthermore I find it ridiculous that the performance cannot be standardized with a firmware, if you buy online you never know if they are selling you a V1 or a V2 and therefore the manufacturer should ensure that with an update you can turn a V1 into a V2

  @Viktor25 It is indeed absurd that it's not getting updated for such a long time. In my opinion it's mainly an issue in terms of missing functionalities: the lack of so many features introduced in V2, where V1 seemingly doesn't get the right for.

I just noticed that it says on the website that the EAP772 V1 is "END OF LIFE"  - for a product that has a 5 year warranty that I purchased new this year?  How mdoes that work?

  @ArtyMarty ArtyMarty, Vincent in the topic linked of Jarnster says that the firmware is there but it is in testing and nothing else... let's hope they make it available for download as soon as possible, but I think it is beyond dispute that TP-Link's behavior is wrong, whether you buy the V1 or V2 version I demand to have the same updates for both and if possible that with the updates to make the two products identical, it is not right that there are multiple versions with different features...
