Dear Omada Team,

 Good day.

I currenly using ER7212PC with starlink. I set portal authentication for wired and wireless device. I set 1GB traffic limit for each user. But they said only few minutes this 1GB data used up.  I checked the starlink dash board, only around 100mb used. I try many times, always same situation. I don't know how to solve this problem. By the way, I used other brand AP with FAT mode. Is this the reason cause the porblem? Hope someone can help me on this issue.

1. Make sure your firmware is up-to-date. Check online or go to the official website.

2. Not sure what AP you use. Have you tried a wired connection to the ER7212PC directly and will it use the data properly?

Hi,

I have tried connect my computer by wire to ER7212PC directly to Port No.5. Before testing, I reset the windows data monitor and create a new local user with 10Gb for testing. See the picture. Very big difference. My computer connected with port 5, why in the picture it not shown port no.5. It shows client group.

Who can help me on this problem, it really bothers me  a lot.

Regular devices do not display as regular devices like the Oamda gears.

They'll be classified as clients instead of showing which port they are connected to.

Data usage seems to be proper now, based on your picture.

Hi,

It's still not running properly.  On the portal log in page. It shown 264MB, But in windows data monitor, only 27MB.  This data calculatation is not correct. It consume very fast even i didn't use any internet. And I found those cellphone which connect to EAP225 is consuming the data normally. Is there any settings wrong?

There are no fine-tune settings for the data. You set 1GB, that's it.

It does not necessarily download the data. Anything on this specific device, even if it is a local connection, will be considered data consumption.

It counts the overall traffic instead of "Internet only" traffic.

You see some margins in the controller dashboard and the client consumption, that should is acceptable.

BTW, is your firmware up-to-date?

Hi,

As you mentioned, it including local traffic and internet traffic. So is there other way to set internet traffic limit for users?or how to make the portal only calculate the Internet data. And also i am wondering what's mean of local connection?

Local connection means from the router to the device. Or an inter-LAN connection.

You only set the data ratio. That's all you got.
