I have an iphone 5 with IOS 9.1. the RE200 range extender I have just purchased. The config wizard does not pick up my iphone hotspot and I have tried manually entering the mac address and details and still does not connect. Can anyone tell me how to configure to share/extend range using my iphone?

I recently purchased an RE200 to extend range/shre internet from my iphone 5 hotspot IOS 9.1. The RE200 won't pick up the hotspot from the iphone. I have also tried entering details manually including the mac address and it still does not pick up the iphone network. Can anyone tell me if the RE200 is capable of doing this or if there is something I need to change on the iphone to be able to do this?

The idea is to have the iphone connect to the RE200 and then all other devices (8 in total) connect to the RE200. Saves having to connect 8 devices every time. RE200 will see iphone 6s on 2.4ghz but not connect. Iphone 5 is not seen by RE200 at all. Both devices running IOS 9.1.

I have found another anomily this morning. When the RE200 recognises the network (not connects), and I compare the mac address that it picks up with the mac address on the actual iphone, they are different....weird.

I also found this, but in my opinion, I think it is the special mechanism of iphone for normal communication.
