Sorry if this post gets duplicated. I already posted this, but it does not appear anywhere.
Region : Argentina
Model : TL-WR841HP
Firmware Version: 3.15.2 Build 141208 Rel.53411n
Hardware Version: WR841HP v1 00000000
ISP: Fibertel
My problem is that my TP-Link TL-WR841HP suffers some kind of lag when the WAN is connected.
When I'm playing I suffer this "high latency", and of course when I'm browsing I hardly notice this problem. BUT, of course, I wan't it to be solved.
I've 2 wireless stations connected, one is my smartphone, and the desktop pc from where I'm suffering some ping hiccups to the router itself.
The strange thing is that when I disconnect the WAN port from the router, the problem dissapear.
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_seq=43 ttl=64 time=1.07 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_seq=44 ttl=64 time=1.01 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_seq=45 ttl=64 time=1.05 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_seq=46 ttl=64 time=282 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_seq=47 ttl=64 time=1.03 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_seq=48 ttl=64 time=839 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_seq=49 ttl=64 time=1.20 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_seq=50 ttl=64 time=1.12 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_seq=51 ttl=64 time=1.09 ms
And it occurs randomly, sometimes between 2-3 sequences.
Things I've tryed:
- Bandwith control: does not help with this, but I installed the "beta" firmware because it MUST be available.
- DHCP server of the ISP router: enabling / disabling, makes no difference.
- Wireless settings: 20/40mhz, changed security to AES/TKIP, WEP, antenna power, no difference at all.
Any ideas? This is driving me crazy and hopeless.
Thank you all!
