I recently bought an Archer C5, but I'm experiencing 2 problems that I was were the reason I wanted a new router in the first place.
I have a 250 mbit up and down contract. Over 2.4GHz I'm only getting speeds around 50 mbit down and around 30 mbit up, and over 5GHz the same.
I have tried changing the channels and modes but none seem to fix this issue.

I'm also experiencing connection loss. Almost every 5 minutes.

I hope someone can help me.

did you upgrade the firmware?
you can check the association speed on your wireless devices, and see if the association speed is low.
besides, how many clients are there connected with C5? you can try letting only one client connect to C5 just for test. then on by one, connect others. that would work.

I have similar problem. maarten1243 - have you checked the tips from Nevermore already? Please let me know if they worked.

I did upgrade the firmware, and there are around 4 devices connected to the 2.4GHz band and 2/3 to the 5GHz band.

v2. I've already changed the frequency and the channels btw. Security settings is all WPA2 PSK. Stability is much higher on the 5GHz band, 2.4 GHz not so much
