I am using a macbook and have a bandwidth monitor.

From time to time the bandwidth drops from >1000 down to 200 or even lower. (I am not moving the laptop).

.. randomly the speed drops further down <20 and then stops completely. All open applications report that network is lost, though in the task bar it says it is still connected.
I cannot access anything on the network or internet.

The only thing that helps is disconnecting and reconnecting to the wlan.

It seems that this happens more 'reproducibly' when high traffic (e.g. file transfer). Which is a pain in the a**,
as I have to redo the file transfer many times to get it completed.

Does anyone know what can be done?

(Actually moved 2 times in the last months and also checked out different wireless channels, so pretty sure it is not a radio problem)
