I would like to know whether if it okay to replace the tp-link firmware from the device and install any other software like it is done is wifi marketing devices nowadays.

I think it is your business to decide whether use TP-LINK's software. But I am very sure if you change other software then coming any issue, they won't offer help to you.

Yes that is quite understandable. I was inquiring from a legal point of view. Is it legal to change the firmware of access point?
