We have a mesh network set up with nbn. We have the one x-73 and then three x68 spread out throughout the house.

We have 5gz and 2.4hz running.

We have chromecasts which are connected fine and up until a couple of days ago we had about 4 google mini nest speakers. I think they might be 2nd generation.

Occasionally they "can't connect to wifi" but often get connected easily by unplugging and plugging. 

Last year when we changed to these deco devices they wouldn't work and turned out we needed to disable the Fastroaming and Beamroaming. These are still disabled.

I have rebooted the decos, factory reset the speakers, created a guest network with just 2.4gz, all firmware and software is all up to date. The speakers connect to my app (bluetooth) and then have issues connecting to the wifi network.  

I then set up a hotspot on my phone, then connected my tablet to my phone (all samsung s23 and s9fe) and then tried using my table to connect the google speakers to my phone and worked perfectly.

Suggestions on the google forum is that if all the other attempts fail and the last step doesn't then there is an issue at the deco end. This worked fine at the start of the week. Only thing we have been doing is setting up Home Assistant on my RPi5 but that hasn't got much added at all to the network.

We have linked our new battery and gateway to our wifi but that was start of September and speakers worked fine since then.

Any suggestions? Driving me nuts!
