Model: Deco BE85  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.1

I have a Deco BE85 (FW 1.2.1) as the main Deco, and 3 Deco BE65 (FW1.2.0) as points. I added a TAPO L930 light strip a couple weeks ago, and it showed up in the Deco app... "More", "Reports" (the device that was added). 

However, the L930 has never shown up as a device in the list of devices linked to my wifi in my Deco app. Any idea why I'm having this issue?

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you have added a smart device (your TAPO L930 light strip) to your Deco Mesh network, and while it appears in the 'Reports' section of the Deco app, it does not show up in the list of connected Wi-Fi devices.

Sometimes, devices connected to the Deco network may not be displayed correctly in the Deco app. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot this issue:

1. If the app shows zero online client devices:
• After opening the Deco app, please wait a few minutes to allow the device list to update.
• Try rebooting your main Deco unit.
• Make sure your Deco app is updated to the latest version from Google Play or the App Store.

2. If some client devices (like your TAPO L930) are not shown as 'online' but are working correctly:
• Ensure there are no other routers in your home using the same Wi-Fi network name (SSID) as your Deco system, as this can cause confusion in device reporting.
• Check that your smart device is set to obtain its IP address automatically (DHCP), rather than using a static IP configuration.
• Reboot your entire Deco system (main and all satellite units).

If you have tried these steps and the issue persists, please contact TP-Link support. When you do, provide details about the troubleshooting steps you have already taken and any other relevant information.

Thanks for the help.

I have tried all the steps you have outlined, and checked for all the issues, but unfortunately, without success.

 

If I did a "cold reboot" of the main Router and satellites, could that help? (sometimes pulling the plug and waiting a minute is called a cold reboot and can achieve better results than use the reboot option in the Deco App).

You can try it and see what happens but if you do the cold reboot and it fixes it but then the problem keeps happening let us know.
