I would also love if this could happen. I'm using the C2600 as an AP and so I am using the LAN ports only to connect to my network. Right now the Gbe LAN port is the bottleneck.

I suggest to measure the effecitve bandwidth - althoguh I think that this is an interesting question if it is possible to get exactly 1 GBit with a bandwidth metering tool in real world conditions.
My AC1750 (which supports 1.3 GBit on 5 GHz) had an effective bandwidth of 500 Mbit when the end device was some feet (1m) away.
And a more theoretical consideration - do you have probably multiple end devices where the accumulated traffic would exceed 1 GBit?
Usually such a thing rarely happens except someone does a backup to a file server via Wifi
For sure there is no LAG - look into the emulator, there is not such an option.

Just wanted to update this. I can consistently get ~850Mbit/s from my PC to my NAS with a T9E card to the C2600 which is fantastic. That is one connection of many in my house though so the single Gbe connection to my switch is definitely a bottleneck and even two port bonding would by a fantastic addition to a fast wifi router like this

+1 for link aggregation, come on TP-Link if your reviewing these threads is this a feature we can enable somehow? I have a NAS connected over wireless AC (1.3Gbs) this is my current bottleneck. Happy to be on any beta program if this functionality is looking to land anytime soon.
