Hi, i had this problem for a while and its driving me nuts. Im on windows xp 32bit

When the computer starts almost always i have to disconnect/connect the adapter.
Sometimes it runs fine 30 min and then drops and CAN'T recconect unless i disconect/connect the adapter.

I tried disabling the power saving but it didn't work, i tried reinstalling, changing usb port, formatting, etc. but nothing works, maybe it's the adapter?

Hi,

It seems to be a driver issue. You may try installing another driver from TP-LINK or REALTEK (RTL8192CU)

Also, usb cable might cause that. Read here, if this is your case.

If you cannot find a solution, you may send a mail to support@tp-link.com, explaining your issue. They should reply to you in a couple of days.

Regards!

Thanks for your answer, i tried installing both drivers and my cable isn't too long (i use the cable that came in the box)

it seemed at first that the realtek driver did work, but later it started showing the same symptoms

You're welcome :)

I had exactly the same problems, even with drivers behavior, using a common usb cable, not the included one.
This device is very sensitive so, almost...everything can cause the issue (even power or interference sources, close to device).

IMO, it's a power supply issue caused either by your PC or their device (incl. cable).
A test on another PC would be...enlightening.

The Way I Fixed mine was by Resetting the Router. Reset yours and Reconfigure it from Scratch. Keep me Updated.
