Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.10 Build 20241105 Rel. 40010

Hello TP-Link Support,

I’m using a TP-Link Deco X50 mesh system in Bangladesh.

My current firmware version is 1.2.10 Build 20241105 Rel. 40010.

I noticed that the 160 MHz channel width option is not available (or automatically limited to 80 MHz) under the 5 GHz Wi-Fi settings.

Could you please confirm:

1. Whether 160 MHz bandwidth is supported in the Bangladesh region firmware, and

2. If there’s any way to manually enable it (for example, via firmware update or advanced settings)?

Thank you very much for your help!

Best regards,

[Syed Shafiul Islam]

@SyedShafiulIsla Bangladesh and Pakistan allowed channels 149, 153, 157 and 161 and these channels does'nt support 160 MHz only channels 36, 40, 44 and 48 support 160 MHz and these channels are not allowed in Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Please & Thank You !! ❤️

Thank you for your question. I understand that you are using a Deco Mesh system in Bangladesh and are unable to select the 160 MHz channel width option for the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band. You would like to know if 160 MHz bandwidth is supported in your region and if there is any way to manually enable it.

Please note that the availability of 160 MHz (as well as 240 MHz or 320 MHz) channel bandwidth on the 5 GHz or 6 GHz bands depends on local regulatory restrictions. In some regions or countries, including Bangladesh, certain bandwidth options like 160 MHz may not be available due to these regulations. This is why you may only see up to 80 MHz as an option in your Deco APP settings, and the 160 MHz option is either not visible or not selectable.

If the 160 MHz option is not available in your Deco's firmware for your region, it cannot be manually enabled, even with a firmware update or advanced settings. The device will comply with your country's wireless regulations, and these restrictions are enforced at the firmware level to ensure legal operation.

If you need further confirmation or have additional questions about regional support, you may contact TP-Link support with your device's model and current firmware version for more details.
