Allow lists for wireless access control on outdoor units
Allow lists for wireless access control on outdoor units
Hi
i have a pair of Deco XE75-Pro devices providing my mesh network and have added a X50-Outdoor. However when this was added I lost the ability to set up an allow list of devices for wireless access control.
i wondered a) whether this would be fixed in a future firmware update or b) whether the BE25-Outdoor has the same limitation.
Regards

I’ve been waiting for this for almost a year now… https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/838850?sortDir=ASC&page=1
It’s disappointing that the company has been unable to release a new firmware version, even six months after announcing that a fix was planned. I was especially amused by the recommendation to buy a different outdoor Deco model and sell the X50 Outdoor instead… but why on earth should I do that?
Personally, I bought three X50 units, and it never even crossed my mind that the X50 Outdoor (which is essentially the same model designed for outdoor use) would not support this feature. Of course, I only understood what the issue was after I could no longer return it to the store.
I simply don’t understand how such a large company can lack internal visibility into what its developers are currently working on. At this point, although reluctantly, I have started looking for an alternative solution from a different manufacturer. Unfortunately, the situation with Deco is not good.
