Very slow smb file transfer when using 6ghz band
Hi
My AXE75 is configured as an Access point, connected to the ISP box. One computer is connected in wifi6 (using realtek 8922ae), the other is on the 6ghz band (using intel ax210). Both has a fast access to the internet (speedtest = 800mbps). But when trying to copy files through local network between the two computer I'm having 1.5 to 3MB/s only ...
When both computer are connected in wifi6, file copy is about 60MB/s. So, it seems there is something wrong with SMB on the 6ghz band. Any clue ?
Copying a file from a Galaxy S25 to the computer connected on 6ghz is very slow (300KB/s !!). Copying to the computer connected on wifi6 is better but slower than the ISP wifi6 box... It's seems like SMB is not well implemented on this routeur.
Thanks in advance

Hi @woozle
I'm running v1.5.2. Here are some tests results:
- It took a while for 5ghz band network to reappear. 20+ minutes on 100+ DFS channels (my isp routeur is by far faster).
- Desktop PC (6ghz) and laptop (5ghz) have full speed internet acess (down 800mpps / up 400). Galaxy s25 ultra too.
- On the laptop (realtek 8922ae wifi chip) i can copy a big file to desktop pc at 100MB/s. In the other way it's slower at 70MB/s. Laptop is at a distance of 6 meters from axe75 with no obstacles.
- On galaxy s25 (connected on 5ghz and very close to axe75):
- Copying to or from Desktop (6ghz) gives about 37MB/s.
- Copying to or from Laptop (same 5ghz network) gives 13MB/s only. I have about 23MB/s on my ISP routeur.
- If i connect laptop to 6ghz i have better results in both ways at about 30M/s
So we can make the hypothesis that SMB file transfer between devices connected to 5ghz band is slow.
If i connect both desktop and laptop to 5ghz : file copy is slower at about 55MB/s. It seems it confirms the hypothesis.
