Thanks Jimasek but the real problem is that the connection keeps dropping. It seems from reading other threads that this is a common problem. My new Archer 7 wifi router is breaking connection every hour or so on a regular basis. Are you familiar with this problem?

Are there any settings i should be looking at? (once ive re-flashed the english firmware version)

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

ok, here's the thing. My hardware version is "V2" as it was bought here in Taiwan. Firmware updates for V2 don't include English version! V1 firmware updates do include an English version. so my question is:
If i use the V1 english firmware version on my V2 Archer C7 wifi routere, will it work or not? and if it does not, can i reset to factory settings?

Of course not because v1 or v2 it is hardware version of that router and you can't exchange firmware

Thank you sir. I have found an English v.2 firmware update that matches my hardware so will try that shortly. Hopefully it will resolve the BIGGER issue, and something that others have mentioned here, the connection keeps going down, maybe 2 or 3 times a night. Ive had the router about 2 month now, at first it worked ok, now it cuts out. I'm hoping this firmware update will resolve it.
I may be back on these forums soon.
