I have downloaded the TP-Link driver for Linux for the TL-WN823N wireless Adapter, and followed the installation instructions as far as compiling the driver and then attempting to load it to the kernel:
The copy to the appropriate directory was successful (sudo cp 8192cu.ko /lib/modules/3.13.0-77-generic/kernel/drivers/net/wireless), as was the "sudo depmod -a" command to generate 'modules.dep'
BUT the command to insert the module in the Linux kernel (sudo modprobe 8192cu) returned the message:-
"modprobe: ERROR: could not insert '8192cu': Device or resource busy".
As I have only a very basic knowledge of Linux I am struggling to know what to do to correct this - and the TP-Link support (chat) team do not appear to have Linux knowledge so could not help me!! Can anyone out there help me please?
I am running an old Dell PC on Linux Ubuntu.
