hi,
i have 1PC connect via cable and a bunch of devices connected using the WiFi.
im looking to restrict the wifi to use (max usage) 15Mbs.
i went into the bandwidth control and set everything up. used the manual + youtube to be sure i did everything correctly.
the limitations works (limiting only IPs that i want)
but the moment i activate the "Enable Bandwidth Control", the PC, which is not limited in anyway, looses 20Mbs of its max connection,
no matter what i do..
tried:
1. NOT setting up any rules regarding the pc
2. disconnecting the DSL so the router will not know what is my max Down rate so i could limit it to something insane high while still limiting the wifi.

nothing works.. no matter what, the moment its active, i drop from 70Mbs to 50Mbs,
its not a fluke, its a fact, same speed test, over and over,
test while disabled = 70Mbs
enabled= 50Mbs
even if the Wifi is turned off (no one is using it anyway), even if there are NO rules in the bandwidth control rules..

my simple logic tells me that the cause is one of the two:

1. the "controller" for the bandwidth control cant slows everything down.
2. the router "tests" for max down stream limits you in a way, i cant be sure though.

i have a feeling its #1
this router wanst cheap, im really disappointed
went through the firmware patch notes.. sadly i saw no fixes to these issues (but i didnt upgrade)
as of now im running:
Firmware version:0.6.0 1.12 v0021.0 Build 150507 Rel.40130n
[B]Hardware version:TD-W9980 v1 00000000
