Hello TP-Link Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with my EAP610 v3.0 access point when trying to adopt it into my Omada Cloud Controller. The device consistently shows as "Preconfigured" and never transitions to "Connected," despite multiple factory resets and attempts to forget and re-adopt the device.

Details:

  • Model: EAP610 v3.0

  • OmadacId: ffff169ac9b59261a643fb77aa6f8420

  • Status: Preconfigured (status:0, addedInAdvance:true)

Troubleshooting already attempted:

  • Multiple factory resets (15–20 seconds)

  • Forgetting the device from the Cloud Controller

  • Attempting to re-adopt via Cloud Controller

  • Disconnecting from internet and trying to access via local IP ()

The AP continues to reconnect to the same Omada Cloud Controller and remains stuck in "Preconfigured" state. It seems the device is still bound to the cloud controller by its OmadacId and does not release properly.

Could you please assist in manually releasing or resetting the association of this AP from the Cloud Controller so that it can be adopted correctly?

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Romel

Hi  @RomelEC

Thanks for reaching out to TP-Link Business Forums.

How do you power on this EAP? Can you see the solid blue/white light on it? If not, please make sure you use a good-quality cable and a PoE injector/switch to try again.

May I know if you can access the network by connecting to its default SSID before adopting it? What IP address can you get on your phone after connecting to the SSID?

Could you access its Web GUI via IP address? You may try the inform URL.

Are you using Cloud Essential Controller or Cloud-Based Controller?
