So I'm in a building with internet all over, but I don't know the provider. I have a MacBook Pro, and a TL-WR841N router. When I plug the router in the wall, two lights light up, but the WAN stays off. As such, I can't actually log into the internet. I don't have a modem but to my knowledge none of the other teachers in my building have one, just the laptop and the router. I've been trying to figure this out for almost two weeks, first with an IPTime router and now with a TP-Link. Any help is very much appreciated.

On the computer (without TP-Link) your internet access is ok?

Right now I'm leeching off a public and very spotty iptime network at home. When I plug in TP-Link router, all lights flash green except WAN which flashes orange. Then only power and signal buttons stay on and green.

In that case I don't know what you're asking. If you're asking if I've normally been able to get internet access, then yes.
