I just replaced my decade old Linksys with a shiny new Archer C50 with the intent of using the built in USB port to support a Seagate 5TB external hard drive I want to use as a NAS drive for video editting and backup for a youtube channel. Unfortunately, when I hook it up I can see that the drive is connected, but I have no access to it. I did contact support and was advised that the router only supports drives up to 2 TB. However, I also know there is a thread here on the forum for the C7 that worked around that issue. So here is my question: Is there some way to work around the 2 TB limit for an external drive on the Archer C50 (V2)?
