Hey,

I want to use a TP Link AC 1750 as a WiFi Access Point. We already have a Thomson thg540k, so the cable to which the TP Link is connected already has a usable internet connection. (When you directly connect the cable to a PC it works just fine).
I followed this tutorial to use the router just as a Wireless Access Point: http://www.tp-link.com/en/FAQ-417.html
The issue is, as soon as I disable the DHCP server and reboot the router I can no longer connect to the WiFi I set up prior. On iPhone it says "No internet connection" while still trying to connect to the WiFi.
When connecting a computer to any of the other free LAN ports the internet connection still works just fine.
Additionally I can't connect to the web setup page of the TP Link, but I think that's just because the router get's assigned a random IP when the DHCP server is disabled.

Any ideas why the WiFi doesn't work?

Thank you very much

Well if you disable the DHCP server in the router how is the Wireless going to connect and give you an IP address????

If you have the TPlink connected to another router, that router should be handling the DHCP duties.

I'm having the same problem. It appears the TPLink is not passing through the DHCP requests to the original router when using wireless.
